The Agency for Social Analyses (ASA), EC PIC number 999 56 42 43, is searching for experienced researchers interested in submitting a joint application for the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Individual Fellowships (Call H2020-MSCA-IF-2017): MSCA-IF-EF-SE (Society and Enterprise panel)
Founded in 1994, the Agency for Social Analyses (ASA) is an independent, non-profit, public policy oriented Think-Tank organization. The ASA is specialized in social and institutional assessment, in socio- economic and political surveys, in designing, conducting and analysing qualitative research and quantitative surveys on behalf of various national and international public bodies, companies, and foundations. The ASA is well known and highly respected by the European and world academic and research community as the official national representative for Bulgaria in the International Social Survey Programme – ISSP (http://www.issp.org) and in the European Social Survey – ESS (www.europeansocialsurvey.org). So far the ASA successfully completed over 50 national and cross-national research projects, implementing modern world standard approaches, methods and techniques. The ASA research activities cover almost the whole spectrum of socio-political and ethno-social environment and focal points. The Agency monitors the changes and trends of the most serious ethnic, social and political issues in Bulgarian society. The subjects covered by its work are wide-ranging, but in the last years the main focus has been on social inequalities (gender, ethnic, generational, rural v/s urban), poverty, deprivation, social exclusion and inclusion, ethnic, national and European identities, Roma issues and anti-Roma xenophobia. The main supervisor for the application will be Dr. Lilia Dimova, Marie Curie Fellow in 2003-2004.
Dr. Lilia Dimova (dimova.lilia@consultant.bg) is a social scientist, lecturer at the University of National and World Economy and Chair of the Agency for Social Analyses (ASA). She has extensive experience and excellence in all kind and in all stages of social research as a science leader of over 50 local, national and international projects. Her current professional interests are focusing on social inequalities and different aspects of poverty (mainly gender, ethnic, rural/urban, generational, and working), social exclusion and inclusion, ethnic, national and European identities as well as on qualitative and quantitative research methods. For 25 years Dr. Dimova has been the national co-ordinator for Bulgaria of the International Social Survey Programme (ISSP) (http://www.issp.org). She is also the Bulgarian national co-ordinator of the European Social Survey (ESS) – the largest academic research project in Europe (http://www.europeansocialsurvey.org). Dr. Dimova was visiting researcher and/or lecturer in Russia, USA, Japan, UK, Ireland and Greece. She was a consultant for UNDP and ILO (1997-98), World Bank (2001- 2002), UNIFEM (2000-2005), European Foundation for the Improvement Working and Living Conditions (2003-2004). In 2002-2003 she worked for the National Centre for Social Research in London (UK) as a European Commission’s Marie Curie Fellow. In 2005 and in 2011 she was an independent expert Peer Reviewer for the European Commission on women’s employment and on gender pay gap. She is fluent in Russian and English.

Selected candidates will be contacted until July 30th 2017. They will be invited to prepare a joint proposal together with the supervisor.
